Elementary News
Well it looks like we will finally get those May flowers! The Elementary team is looking forward to a busy and productive end of the school year! We have much to celebrate and look forward to... In class newsletters and dojo pages you will see much of what these next few weeks will look like for your student(s). These newsletters (this one included) will be continually updated with the latest and greatest. The most notable to flag for everyone is the recent change to the end of our school year. In Superintendent Bourne's Newsletter she has highlighted that our end of the school year will now be June 14.
A big thanks to our student council and advisors for planning a great Green Up Day! We are proud of the Windsor team for giving back to our community. Pictures included here...
A reminder... The school day begins at 8. We have supervision on the playground and for indoor breakfast in the Elementary cafeteria/gym starting at 7:40am. Please remind your student(s) that if they are here at school between 7:40-8:00am they will need to be in one of these two supervised spaces. Many thanks in advance for the support!

Middle School News
Green-UP Day - We are thankful for our HS Student Council Members who organized our school-wide Green-Up Day in cooperation with Vermont's state-wide efforts. This has been a long tradition of Windsor School and we are proud of all the effort our middle school students put into keeping their beautiful town clean as they walked around the perimeter of Paradise Park.
8th Grade Passages Ceremony DATE CHANGE - Due to the change in the last day of school, the 8th grade ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 13th at 6pm. The event is planned for outdoors, behind the Windsor School Theater. In inclement weather, the ceremony will take place inside the theater.
MS Theater Performance - Seventh grade theater class will be performing Old MacBeth Had A Farm on May 12th at 12:45 pm (this is a change from the original date, May 11th). Parents, please join us. Windsor On Air will also be taping this performance.

High School News
Cell Phone Survey - Please fill out this survey from our Superintendent.
*Seniors* Chromebook Drop- off, May 26th by the end of the day
Hi Seniors,
It's that time of the year to drop off your Chromebook. Your Chromebooks will need to be dropped off by the end of the day on May 26th. If you need them for any longer please stop by the IT Suite for an extension. Thank you!
Michael J. Walker, IT Services Manager
YRBS: We will be offering make ups for the Youth Risk Behavior Survey to all high school students who did not opt out on May 8th. Just an FYI.
Cell Phones and Recording/Taking Pictures : It is the policy of the Windsor Southeast Supervisory Union (WSESU) to use Information and Communication Technology to support and enrich the curriculum. The school board believes that the benefit to students from access to Information and Communication Technology and opportunities for collaboration far exceed the disadvantages.
The Superintendent shall be responsible for developing and implementing administrative procedures concerning the following:
Unauthorized disclosure, use, and dissemination of personal information regarding minors
Students who break this policy and record and post, share, etc videos/pictures of other students without written permission will lose the privilege to carry a cell phone in the school. Depending on the severity of the offense, students may NOT have a cell phone in the school for a minimum of 2 weeks. Students may keep their phone at home, in their car, or turn in to be locked in an office. There is also legislature regarding disturbing the peace by use of telephone or other electronic communications.
We know we have had multiple incidents of students recording other students at struggling moments as well as an uptick in unkind instagram pages and posts and are responding accordingly. IN SHORT CLEAR LANGUAGE, WHEN THERE IS EVIDENCE THAT A STUDENT HAS RECORDED, TAKEN PICTURES, AND/OR POSTED WITHOUT PERMISSION OF ALL PARTIES, THIS STUDENT IS SUBJECT TO CONSEQUENCES INCLUDING SUSPENSION. THERE WILL BE CONTINUING CONVERSATIONS ABOUT CELL PHONES AND POLICY/PROCEDURES FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR WITH ALL STAKEHOLDERS AS WE NAVIGATE THIS TOGETHER.
Parking Lot: Just a reminder that we only allow open campus privileges for seniors that are in good standing to leave campus during their open periods. They are expected to sign out and back in with the HS attendance office. On another note, we are in the middle of town and please work with me to remind your student to be a good neighbor both during and after school hours. We want to work on a solution that works for all and allows students to access the parking lot before school hours, but also takes into consideration the feedback of our neighbors. We want to find the balance of kids enjoying their time together and being a thoughtful community member. A not so gentle reminder that parking on school grounds is a privilege and unsafe behaviors will not be tolerated. Speeding will result in the removal of campus access.
