School Update

Dear Families and Community Members,

We appreciate the parent and community participation in last night’s Windsor Parent Forum. We had close to 100 participants and many questions asked and answered. We have posted the meeting video from last night on our school web page and we are including the video recording of last night’s meeting here.  We will strive to get information to you regularly as we get closer to the first day of school, Tuesday, September 8th.

  1. Upcoming- Please know that the WSESU school administration will be sharing the Health & Safety Handbook and the Parent/Student Compact on Monday, August 31. We will also share a Windsor Newsletter.

  2. HS Schedules - Our HS students are able to now view their schedules in Powerschool. Paper copies of schedules will not be sent in the postal mail. Similarly to every school year start, HS Counselors, Greg Pickering (A-L) and Jessica Vivian (M-Z), will be responding to student’s individual schedule adjustments to the best of their ability with the courses available. 

  3. Available Virtual HS Classes - As our Supervisory Union makes adjustments to an accessible remote curriculum, HS students continue to have many virtual options that have always been available to our students, whether they are in person or 100% remote, such as Virtual High School, EdOptions, VTVLC or similar platforms (this includes free classes such as Coursera, etc).  Juniors and seniors may still partake in college-level Dual-Enrollment classes at a local participating college. These options will still be supported by our FP Coordinator, Kim Gogan. Windsor High School will work with each learner to accommodate different learning needs and abilities.

  4. Remote only HS  Registration -  This option is for students who do not wish to attend HACTC/Windsor Remote PM classes or Windsor In-Person AM classes/Windsor Remote PM Classes. Please complete this registration if your child will access 100% Remote Only
